# 131 Fuzzy (Theme # 337)

This baby owl looks so soft and fuzzy.

# 130 Pastry (Theme # 295)

These are the cinnamon rolls after they were baked. Yes, they were yummy!

# 128 Fog (Theme # 196)

Fog is over the ocean between Vank Island and another nearby island. Two Tree Island is the tiny speck on the right.

# 127 Pop culture (Theme # 57)

Here are just a few of the Beanie Babies my friend has for sale in her booth in a local antique shop. They were so popular a few years ago.

# 126 Rubbish (Theme # 55)

When we arrived on Vank Island to build a bath house the old one had been torn down and the discarded materials bulldozed into a heap. During most of the first week we kept the rubbish pile burning. After days we were down to this small fire.

# 125 Cooking (Theme # 289)

We are cooking food on the back burners while we melt wax for candle-making on the front burners.

# 124 Self portrait (Theme #309)

My reflection, distorted and blurred, can be seen in this Christmas ornament.

# 123 Waiting (Theme # 353)

We are patiently waiting for the bird we hear to pop out where we can see it.

# 122 Surf (Theme # 135)

Playing at the water's edge, this boy nearly got caught by the surf when the tide was coming in.

# 121 Retro ( Theme # 83)

Does anyone remember Pac-Man? This lunch box is for sale at a North Carolina antique shop.

# 120 Secret (Theme # 52)

Two Tree Island, off the coast of Vank Island, has a secret. If any young trees dare to try to grow on this tiny island, forest officials come and cut them down so it will always be known as Two Tree Island! Bald Eagles made their nest in one of the trees this summer.

# 119 Ironwork (Theme # 46)

These large bowls were used to make gunpowder many years ago.
Sycamore Shoals State Park Museum

#118 Cuddle (Theme # 131)

Kali likes to cuddle in her soft bed. At times she even lets me cuddle her!

# 117 Bow (Theme 206)

A man from our tour group stands with one of our guides on the bow of the Alaska Waters search and rescue vessel while the rest of us take pictures and collect shells and small stones.

This bow is on one of the Christmas trees on display at Sycamore Shoals State Park.

# 116 Cinema (Theme # 240)

Johnson City, Tennessee

#115 Lamp (Theme # 338)

This lamp was in our church's thrift store for $2.00 when I took the picture. Last week it was marked down to $1.00! Too bad no one wants her!! Somehow she looks a lot better in this photograph than she does in person.

# 114 Zig zag (Theme # 364)

This park bench zig-zags.

# 113 Quilt (Theme # 165)

This is one of several quilts on permanent display at the Elizabethton-Carter County Public Library. About ten years ago (maybe more) children attending story time made handprints on quilt blocks to be sewn together by a local quilting club. The handprints of my two daughters are on the lower left quarter-section of this quilt.

# 112 Clouds (Theme # 36)

The snow-covered mountains peaked through the clouds somewhere over Canada or the western USA this summer.

# 111 Doll (Theme # 252)

Snowflakes and snowmen decorate this large tree in the lobby of Sycamore Shoals State Park.

# 109 Train (Theme # 217)

This toy train is part of the "Polar Express" theme of this Christmas tree on display at Sycamore Shoals State Park.

# 108 Desire (Theme # 79)

Jacqueline has listed her Christmas desires on this decoration. Lists from many children completed this Christmas tree on display at Sycamore Shoals State Park.

# 107 Needlework (Theme # 5)

This needlework ornament hangs on a tree in the Christmas Tree display at Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton, Tennessee. Clubs and Organizations from all over the city and county display a decorated tree every year during the month of December.
