Many church members came with their vehicles to help transport our group of about 30 people and lots of luggage to the church where we spent our first night in Alaska.
The next day the same church members transported us to the dock where we used the crane in the background to load our luggage down onto the fishing boat that would take us to Vank Island and our building project.
Here we are loading luggage, food for 10 days for 30-40 people, tools and other supplies into the hold of the fishing boat for the trip from Wrangell to Vank Island. It took 1 hour to travel the 8 miles.
